LTC need available in a unit that is made up of primarily geriatric patients. This is a travel assignment and you will be working a 12 hour shift with a minimum of 36 hours. Responsible for providing nursing care requiring specialized care for mostly geriatric patients. Must have at least 1 year of recent Long Term Care RN experience. Must have a current state license and also have a current BLS and ACLS.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Uses clinical judgment to manage delivery of patient care safely and effectively.
Promote a friendly environment with both the patient and hospital staff
Uses knowledge and practice in accordance with Nurse Practice Act; Standards of Nursing Practice; Standards of Patient Care; JCAHO, state and local laws; and hospital policies.
Always try to be a helpful flexible nurse as the hospital is in need of someone that is a team player.
